A study by a Massachusetts nonprofit finds that women CEO’s often are more qualified for their roles than their male counterparts. WBUR’s Amy Soco has more on the findings. The Eos Foundation study looked at the career paths of CEO’s at SP 500 companies. It found that women were a third more likely to have served as President before being appointed CEO instead of jumping straight from being the head of a division. The Foundation’s President, Andrea Silbert, says this study shows women have to be even more qualified than men to get these leadership roles.
