Phebe Novakovic has been Chair of the Board & CEO of General Dynamics since 2013. She joined the company in 2001 and held various roles, including Executive Vice President of Marine Systems, Senior Vice President of Planning and Development, and Vice President of Strategic Planning. She was named President & Chief Operating Officer in 2012. Prior to joining General Dynamics, Ms. Novakovic served as special assistant to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Defense from 1997 to 2001. She also worked for the Office of Management and Budget as Deputy Associate Director and served in the Central Intelligence Agency.
