Adena Friedman has served as CEO of Nasdaq since 2017 and was appointed Chair of the Board of Directors in 2023. She rejoined the company in 2014 as President & Chief Operating Officer after serving as Chief Financial Officer at The Carlyle Group for three years. Her former executive roles at Nasdaq spanning a decade included Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Data Products. She originally joined Nasdaq in 1993 as an intern.
